BY JILLIAN ROBERTSON, ENN REPORTER
Lexi Marie Cahalan is a member of the 2026 graduating class of Knox County R-1 High School. Lexi is the daughter of Jake and Ashley Whiles of Hannibal. During high school, Lexi has been part of cross country, dance team, Eagle Nation News, FCCLA, FFA, football and basketball cheer, Med Club, Student Council, track, and NHS, and she also serves as the Senior class secretary. Lexi said her favorite memory in high school was being a part of the cheer team. Outside of school, Lexi volunteers at the food pantry and works at the Knox County Nursing Home. If she could visit anywhere in the world, Lexi said she would visit Greece or Italy, and she describes herself as "compassionate, loving, and hardworking."
Lexi shared some advice for upcoming seniors: “Don't procrastinate. Your freshman year really determines how the rest of your high school career is gonna go, because when senior year comes, you're gonna look back, and you're going to want to say that you wish you had done more.”
After graduating, Lexi plans to attend college to become a pediatric nurse and participate in cheer during her college years.
