Jack Givens

Jack E. Givens is a senior at Knox County High School and part of the 2026 class. He is the son of Lisa and Brandon Givens of Edina. Jack has been involved in football and baseball all four years.
Jack shared that his favorite memory in high school was beating North Shelby during the week seven football game of his senior year. His favorite things to do outside of school are watching TV and playing sports. Jack credits all four of his football coaches for making an impact on him. He shared that Mr. Bruce Vannoy helped him “grow as a leader”, while Coach Skyler Sullens “brought the competitive energy I needed to stay consistent in and out of school.” Jack also said that Coach Conner Hayes was great at building strong team relationships, and Coach Kyle Ellison helped him build his self-confidence. Another who played a big role in Jack’s life during high school is retired Assistant Principal, Mr. Keith Gudehus. Jack said, “He helped me by giving me advice on being a more consistent student and was straightforward with me.”
Jack’s future plans include joining the Air Force and eventually saving up enough to attend flight school so he can transition to a commercial pilot. In 5 years, he plans to be a Crew Chief in the Air Force.
