Senior Spotlights highlight the Class of 2021 seniors. Bryston Shane Bowen is the son of Amber and Josh Bowen. His extracurricular activities include: FFA Vice-President, Drama Club Vice-President, track, baseball, Yearbook and National Honor Society.

Bowen says he would describe himself by using the three words, “determined, outgoing, active.” He said, “I am involved with many activities at school and in the community. I enjoy playing sports and working outside on the farm.”

Bowen began school at Knox County in 6th grade after his family moved to be closer to other family members. Bowen shared that he has had many good memories from his years at Knox County, however, the one that stands out the most would be when he went to state track with his 4x800m relay team. He also says that his favorite teacher is Ag teacher, Ms. Mallet because she is very good with students.

Family is very important to Bowen. He says the most influential person in his life is his mother. “She supports me no matter what and is there whenever I need her,” he said.

In 10 years, Bowen sees himself working in an animal science related workforce. His future plans are to attend Moberly Area Community College for two years and then further his education to get his animal science degree.
