The Girls on the Move raised $800 from the spring Color Run 5K! They voted on a cause to support and decided they wanted to donate to Floki the Professional Therapy Dog. CARES, Inc. out of Kansas helps train and find placement for therapy dogs around the country. The girls are hoping this donation will help Floki's brothers and sisters find good homes where they can help other people. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Color Run!

IMPORTANT TRAVEL ADVISORY – STATE TRACK & FIELD MEET
Due to ongoing bridge reconstruction in Jefferson City, major traffic impacts are expected for those traveling via U.S. Route 54.
Construction Alert:
U.S. Route 54 West & East is reduced to one lane.
The exit ramp to Madison St. is CLOSED.
The exit ramp to Stadium Blvd. is CLOSED.
These closures are expected to cause delays of over an hour for both team transportation and spectators.
FAMILY/SPECTATORS FROM NORTH; EAST OF JC:
There are 2 good options:
#1-Take I-44 West to Union/Hwy 50 West exit
-stay on Hwy 50 west to JC
-exit to Lafayette St.
-turn south (left) at the bottom of the ramp
-you will pass all our north parking lots on Lafayette
-if you continue to Union St. and turn right you can access more parking at the press
box, or continue on Union to Jackson and turn right to access parking behind Nichols
Career Center or continue on Jackson for parking at Thorpe Gordon Elem.; to loop
around to parking again, after you pass Thorpe Gordon Elem. turn right on Franklin, then
right on Lafayette
-golf carts service these lots for rides to the stadium
-there is also a small lot on Lafayette just past Union at the round-about

-exit to Hwy 19 south at New Franklin
-continue on Hwy 19 south to Hwy 50 west near Drake, MO
-go west on Hwy 50 to JC

Mrs Carlson, the Knox County RootEd/College & Career Advisor, helped
seniors and their parents complete the FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. These students were entered into a drawing for prizes donated by the RootEd program. Zaeylyn Carper won the AirPods. She will be attending Culver-Stockton College to study nursing. Shalee Zuccarini, who won the laptop, will attend Gem City College of Cosmetology. Congratulations!

Mr. Green's canoe launch was a success! No leaks and it cuts through the water really well. And even better Mr. Turgeon didn't have to tread water. BIG thanks to Mr. Turgeon for being a good sport and having faith in the student's boat making skills. They love having administration that are willing to get involved in their projects and try out their creations. This is one of the many things that set us apart from everyone else.
