MS football tonight at Schuyler County is canceled due to a lack of eligible players. We do not have a reschedule date as of now. MS will have practice after school from 3:30-5:00.

Assuming the weather cooperates, Senior Night activities will take place after the varsity softball game tonight against Marion County. We will not be able to play a junior varsity game due to low numbers for Marion County.

In a joint statement, Knox County R-1 School District and Knox County Health Department, are announcing the identification late Friday night September 4, 2020 of a positive case of Covid-19 in an individual age 10-20. The individual is isolated at home and contact investigation is ongoing. Seating charts for classes/lunch/buses and interviews with the individual will be used to identify close contacts (those within 6ft for more than 15 cumulative minutes). Close contacts will be notified by the health department to go over quarantine timelines and self-monitoring for symptom development. The parents of identified close contacts should contact the school district on Tuesday morning to coordinate continued virtual education. The school and health department continue to work with state agencies and the center for disease control to implement best practices for Covid-19 management.

With 6:55 left in the first, Knox takes an 8-0 lead over Westran.

Free meals for children not in school. Children between the ages of 1-18 who are not in school and want to participate in the free meals will need to call the central office to be added to the list. Call 660-397-2228 ext. 500. We will not be delivering meals so you will need to pick them up between 11:00 and 11:30 a.m. everyday at the high school main entrance. The meal will include lunch for that day and breakfast for the next day. Once you are added to the list your meals will start the following day and be available every day that we have school. Your meals will be labeled so you can identify them.

Great news!!! We have been approved to offer free meals again. Starting with lunch today students ages 1-18 will eat for free. We do not know how long this will last. The money you have in your childs account will be there when we have to go back to paying again. If you owe money you are still responsible for taking care of that.

For Saturday's tournament at Monroe City, the Knox County "team camp" will be in the northwest corner of the softball/baseball complex. Concessions will be available. Dogs are not permitted on the grounds.
