Recap of Professional Development 10-8-18.
Mentors met with mentees to continue to work on the new teacher development program. Kagan structures were presented on by the Professional Development Committee. State mandated training on dyslexia was also covered. The elementary had a faculty meeting discussing the upcoming Activity Night scheduled for 10/30. Mary Lynn Greenley gave an overview of the Social Studies Curriculum training she went too. Social Studies curriculum is to be updated by the end of 2018-2019 school year. The Vanguard Team met and worked on Apple’s Elements of Learning and Apple’s Everyone Can Create. Kathy Palmer provided hands on CPR practice for all staff members
Hannibal Band Days scheduled for tomorrow 10/9 has been postponed until next Tuesday 10/16.

Couldn’t make today’s championship game? We’ll bring it to you. Due to rainout, our conference finale with Marceline on Tuesday will double as the Schuyler County championship game. Game time is 4:30 at Knox County High School.

As the school year is well underway and athletic and extracurricular activities are taking place we would like to remind all parents that students need to be supervised and supporting our athletes and performers when attending these events. Students should not be running around, playing behind bleachers or on the playground. Thank you for you help in this matter and the school district appreciates your continued support of all Knox County R-1 activities.

The bracket for the middle school softball tournament this weekend has changed. The revision is attached. First pitch for our first game is still 1030.
The junior high football game at Highland on Thursday, 9/27, will start at 5:00. Kickoff will be at 5:00.
The Knox County middle school softball team will play at Highland on October 4th at 5:00 pm. The Highland and Knox varsity teams will play at Knox at 5:00 on that same day.
