Congratulations to the Knox County Varsity Softball team for being named to MHSFCA Academic All-State. To qualify as a team, a team must meet the academic requirements including:
have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.3 or better on a 4.0 scale. Our team had a cumulative GPA of 3.85 and were #3 in Class 1. Again, congratulations to all of our softball players on your academic success! Softball is coached by Nathan Miller.

Congratulations to Grayson Miller, Patrick Clark, and Ruah Park for being named to MTCCCA Cross Country Academic All-State. Athletes must have competed in either districts, state or both. They must meet the academic requirements including:
25 or higher on the ACT, 1150 or higher on the SAT, 3.6 cumulative GPA (non-rounded, non-weighted) at the end of the fall semester. Cross Country is coached by Brandi Wriedt.

Congratulations to our FBLA members who received 17 cumulative medals at District Leadership Contests on Monday, February 17th. Many of these students will advance to State Leadership Contests in April. FBLA is sponsored by Brandi Wriedt.

Thank you to all our parents and students for their understanding and support during the recent weather-related changes, postponements and cancellations. Those decisions are never easy, but the safety of our staff and students is always our top priority. That said, charge those iPads! We will see everyone tomorrow, Friday, February 21st!

The Varsity basketball games at Atlanta tonight 2/20 have been canceled. The MS Quiz Bowl matches at Schuyler have also been canceled.

Varsity Scholar Bowl for today 2/19 is postponed to Thursday, February 27th.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, the Knox County R-1 School District will not be in session Wednesday February 19, and Thursday February 20.
This is our year for FREE physicals! Permission slips will be emailed home closer to April. Thank you, Scotland County Hospital!

Tonight's (2/18) JV/V basketball games at Marceline have been canceled. They will not be rescheduled.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for tomorrow, the Knox County R-1 School District will not be in session.
Middle School Scholar Bowl traveled to North Shelby for their annual tournament on Saturday. After the morning rounds, the teams came out ranked 4th, 5th, 10th, and 11th out of 14 teams.
Jason Devlin got 5th on the All-Tournament Team and Thatcher Townsend tied for 3rd on the All-Tournament Team.

Varsity games tonight 2/17 will be played as scheduled. After Prom meal starting at 5pm. Senior night will be in between games.

Games for today 2/14 are canceled and rescheduled for Monday, February 17th.
