Conferences are this week! No school Friday!

Monster delivery day has arrived! Students in Mrs. England's kindergarten class, Mrs. Miller's work experience class, Mrs. Van Delft's library class, Mrs. Barnhill's SWAT class and Mrs. Huchteman's middle school FACS, The Nest and Foods classes collaborated to create felt monsters, cookies, and keepsake keychains for our kindergarten friends. Grab a copy of the November edition of Eagle Nation News to read more about this project.

Fundraiser for the Berry Family!

Mr. Keith Gudehus, KC R-I Safety Coordinator, is pleased to announce both caution lights are now operational. Please note the reduced speed limit throughout the school zone when the lights are flashing. Lights will flash from 7:30am-8:30am, through Preschool pick up/drop off midday, and from 3:00pm-4:00pm each school day. They will also flash in the event of school releasing early for any reason. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe as they enter and exit school grounds.

FCCLA members will be out trick or treating for canned goods on Halloween!

Congratulations Agnes Reel for making All Conference Softball!

The Knox County Ambulance District made a presentation to Med Club (sponsored by Mrs. Carlson). Students learned about the need for EMTs in our county and the career opportunity being offered by the ambulance district. Contact the ambulance district or Mrs. Carlson for more information regarding the EMT training program.

Congratulations to our All District Selections! 1st team: Agnes Reel 2nd team: Abigail Becker, Bryston Miller, and Savanna Schrage

We had such a great turnout at our first ever Red Cross student/staff blood drive, that we have scheduled another one for February! We had 17 first time donors! Thank you to all the donors who took time out of their schedules to donate to a wonderful cause. A huge thank you to Mrs. Taylar Parrish for organizing, and to NHS and FBLA organizations for volunteering their time to make sure this event went smoothly for all. Students who donate are guaranteed a scholarship from the Red Cross following their senior year.
