MS/HS iPad Rollout

Parents:
The start of the school year is approaching very quickly. In order to be as prepared as possible, we are asking that you contact the school, and let us know what your student(s) transportation plans are. Transportation will continue as it did last year. You must have a permanent plan in place and will not be allowed to make daily changes, unless there is an emergency or something unexpected comes up. Parent pick-up points have not changed. Elementary will be in front of the Elementary and MS/HS will be behind the Middle School. Please contact Sherri Mauck in the Elementary at 660-397-2228 ext. 101 or Lacy Hayes in the Superintendent's Office at 660-397-2228 ext. 500 to let us know what your student(s) transportation plans are. Thank you for your cooperation.

Knox County R-I is proud to announce that Mandi Delaney, the Knox Co. Middle School Mathematics teacher, has been named one of the 2021-2022 Northeast Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year finalists. Mrs. Delaney has worked in the Knox County R-I School District for 4 years. Although not chosen as one of the Northeast Regional Teacher of the Year winners, Ms. Delaney represented her district well.
The Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year award is part of the Missouri Teacher of the Year program, sponsored by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Missouri Teacher of the Year program recognizes the efforts of effective teachers in providing a quality education to their students. Preparing, developing, and supporting effective educators is one of DESE’s primary goals.

Our school/district has selected the Student Insurance Plan from K&K Insurance Group to make reliable coverage available to parents. If you don’t have other insurance, this plan may be a resource to
consider. Additionally, even if you have other coverage, this plan can help fill expensive “gaps” caused by deductible and co-pays. Coverage may be purchased at any time during the school year by visiting
www.studentinsurance-kk.com.

Attention Junior and Senior Students/Parents:
Mrs. Parrish emailed this document out this morning for students to solidify the dual credit classes they are wanting to take for the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year. Please email Mrs. Parrish with your selections so we can ensure that you get into the selected class and your course schedule is accurate prior to school starting!
